Autumn flowers on pink table

The last of the Autumn flowers — a little chaotic, but that’s what was appealing. Often with a bunch of flowers, we don’t really see the beauty in them when they’re arranged too carefully or displayed too preciously. I liked these exactly as they were — slightly wild and untidy.

I thought the pink tablecloth and the shadows especially helped bring out all those lovely reds, pinks and oranges in the blooms. The whole thing just felt very warm and full of colour, like trying to hold onto the last little burst of Autumn before it fades.
