This oil painting was inspired by a visit to Frank and Lotti’s café in Deloraine, Tasmania. Sitting among the tables was a charming teapot overflowing with freshly gathered flowers, and I was immediately drawn to the joyful combination of colour, shape and light.
The vibrant pinks, yellows and whites seemed to dance against the deep background, while the elegant curves of the teapot provided a beautiful sense of balance. I wanted to capture that simple moment of delight—when everyday objects and flowers come together to create something unexpectedly beautiful.
