This little watercolour painting was inspired by one of life's simplest pleasures—a rich slice of chocolate cake enjoyed alongside a steaming cup of hot chocolate. I was drawn to the layers of deep chocolate and creamy filling, a treat that feels unapologetically indulgent and comforting.

The delicate floral china adds a touch of elegance, while the soft washes and gentle colours create a sense of warmth and relaxation. This work is a celebration of slowing down, treating yourself, and savouring those small moments of sweetness that make an ordinary day feel special.
