Gathered Things

A gathering of flowers, vessels, fruit and familiar objects from around the home. I was drawn to the way these everyday things come together through colour — brilliant blues, fresh yellows, deep greens and softer mauves set against the cool blue background.
Rather than creating a traditional still life, I wanted the objects to feel collected and abundant, each with its own shape, pattern and character. The painting celebrates the visual pleasure found in the things we live with and the unexpected beauty of an everyday arrangement.
