This painting was inspired by a quiet morning at Frank & Lottie's Café. Sitting with a coffee, I found myself watching the early sunlight stream through the window, casting beautiful violet shadows behind a jug overflowing with fresh yellow flowers.
As I reflected on the day ahead, I realised how easily these small moments pass unnoticed. It wasn't just the flowers that captivated me, but the warmth of the morning light, the gentle rhythm of the café, and the simple pleasure of pausing before the day began.
Back in the studio, I wanted to paint not just what I had seen, but what I had experienced. This work is a celebration of those ordinary moments that quietly become some of life's most memorable.
