These soft pink roses were some of the first blooms to really announce the arrival of spring. I was captivated by the way the early morning light caught the petals — glowing against the warm background and giving the flowers such a sense of energy and life.
I wasn’t interested in painting every detail perfectly, but rather the feeling of the moment — the looseness of the blooms, the freshness of spring, and that fleeting light that seems to dance across petals for only a short time each day. The cool turquoise vase became the perfect contrast to the warmth of the pinks and yellows.
For me, this painting is about joy, warmth, and those simple seasonal moments that make you pause and appreciate beauty in nature.
