Red Tulip

A single red tulip takes centre stage in this contemporary oil painting, picked from my garden in Tasmania, I was drawn to the deep crimson petals edged with golden yellows and oranges. I chose to set it against a deep, moody blue background, allowing the flower's vibrant colours and sweeping green leaves create a striking contrast.
